Why Drink Warm Lemon Water?
I've been doing a lot of research on balancing the body's PH level...you know, the whole alkaline/acidic "thing". Your body functions at it's BEST when it's most alkaline. The sad thing is that almost ALL of the foods that the general public consumes are EXTREMELY acidic and that makes it very hard for the body to balance itself. This can cause fatigue, weight gain, and all types of other issues.
Lemons are considered one of the most alkalizing foods one can eat. This may seem confusing as lemons are very acidic on their own. However, in the body, lemons are alkaline; the citric acid does not create acidity once it has been metabolized. MOST people are too acidic (from eating too much sugar, too many grains, and too many animal products) and drinking warm lemon water helps to reduce overall acidity, drawing uric acid from the joints.
