Food Prep

Food Prep! It's all the rage!

I've received a lot of questions lately on food prep. Since it is one of my FAQ's I wanted to give you some tips!

I usually do my food prep on Sundays...or should I say: my HUSBAND does our food prep on Sundays! Ha! Pick a day that works BEST for you and your schedule. We chose Sundays so we have all of our food prepared for the week ahead. Food prep might seem intimidating at first, but it is a HUGE time saver during the week!

Step 1: Clean out your refrigerator and pantry and go grocery shopping.

Step 2: Pick a few recipes that you and your family can enjoy. (I suggest 1 crockpot recipe, 1 skillet recipe, and 1 baked chicken recipe...you can find plenty of inspiration on Pinterest! Don't forget about your veggies and side dishes also.)

Step 3: Depending on your schedule, prepare your breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the week. Or just breakfast and lunch if you will be home to make dinner.

Step 4: ENJOY the fruits of your labor and your EXTRA time!

Try food prepping for January and see how much extra time you will have to fit in a workout or spend extra time with your family.

Fitness Vixen Tip: If you are feeling completely overwhelmed, try food prepping just ONE meal per week to begin with (just dinners), then move up to 2 (dinners and lunch) and then 3 if need be!

XOXO,

Christy
